Introducing …
The Society of Independent Pubs

SIP, the Society of Independent Pubs was founded to champion the vital role that independent pubs, bars, clubs, and venues play in the social, cultural, and economic fabric of the UK.

SIP exists to support and empower independently owned and operated establishments, advocating for their interests at both national and local levels. From community-led pubs and late-night music venues to neighbourhood bars and hospitality collectives, our members are united by their independence, integrity, and commitment to offering unique, locally rooted experiences.

SIP is the voice of independent hospitality – we provide a platform for independent venues to be heard. In addition to our advocacy work, we offer practical business advice, competitions and campaigns and a range of financial support

We’re here to protect the future of independent social spaces. Whether you're a freehouse landlord, a late-night venue operator, a grassroots music bar, or an emerging hospitality entrepreneur – if you’re wet-led and independently run, we’re here for you.

SIP - Proud to stand with independents.

Protecting community.
Celebrating individuality.
Powering independence.
